Keith Margis began his journey in the sign business in his hometown of Long Beach CA, where he honed traditional sign-making techniques and design skills at Gary Harrisons legendary Sign Studio under the mentorship of Rick Glawson (The original Letterhead). After relocating to San Francisco to start a family, he worked as a sign designer and eventually became a project manager at The Pichoff Company, immersing himself in the vibrant and creative sign and graphics industry. When Pischoff closed its doors, Keith seized the opportunity to establish his own venture, founding Modern Sign & Design. Employing a small close knit staff of sign professionals Modern Sign was able to offer unique original designs, high standards and exceptional prices. In 2019 Keith spent some time in Southern California as a set designer in the entertainment industry returning to San Francisco in 2021 as K.Margis Design.
